Saturday, Feb 15-3 Mardi Gras Isomalt Classes with instructor Sidney Galpern, sugar artists, Cert. Professional Chocolatier, owner of Simicakes.com

Mardi Gras Isomalt Classes:

Class 1: Isomalt Bows and Ribbons-2 hours-Learn
the art of pulled sugar and create beautiful hand pulled
bows and ribbons and how to stripe them. Instant drying
time and you put them together in class and take them
home! Supplies included. Bring a box & bubble
wrap. —9 AM to 11 AM

Class 2: Blown Sugar Chick & Nest-2 hours-Create a fun
spring cake topper with blown, pulled, cast, spun, and hand
sculpted chick, nest, tree, eggs, and flowers on a beautiful
base as a cake topper or stand alone centerpiece. Supplies
included. Bring a box & bubble wrap. —12 noon to 2 PM

Class 3: Isomalt Mardi Gras Mask-2 hours-Cast and
pulled sugar/isomalt to create a whimsical Mardi Gras
Mask. Decorate with pulled & hand sculpted accents and
disco dust for highlights. Supplies included. Bring a box
& bubble wrap. —3 PM to 5 PM

Why do we love Isomalt? No drying time! (or very short drying time) Just create your piece and put it directly on
your cake. It's fun and creates a high end look for your cakes and confections. Everyone can learn these techniques
easily! We will create Isomalt pieces for cupcakes, cakes, toppers and blown sugar! We address safety, color and
clarity while working with Isomalt. All supplies are included with class! Just bring a box and bubble
wrap to take home your creations.
