Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I made my very first batch of fondant last night which looks and feels as I've read that it should feel from several discussions. The thing is I just realized that I'd forgetten to add the 1/2 cup crisco. Is it to late to add this ingredient? Dee - I don't put any crisco in my marshmallow fondant.  You can always knead some in later if you feel it needs it.

Linda, Eileen, you guys just made my day. I actually got it right. I feel really, really good. Thank you!

The only time I add crisco is if I've re-rolled it a few times and it's got too much powdered sugar in it - then I add  a little at a time just to make it more pliable.  Let us know how your cake turns out!!
