Im new here , is there anyone that can help me make a checkerboard cake but without pan?

If you don't have cake rings or cutters the right size, you can use cake boards to cut around.

I checked out the link posted here. I like the idea of the cookie cutters.

Save yourself a lot of work and place those cuuters in the center of your cake pan pour in the colors or flavors of cake batter. Remove the cutters and go to your next layer, bake then put your cake together to make your desired pattern. Just remember to rotate your colors.

  If you have cheese cake pans you can remove the bottoms and use them as dividers or make some using heavy duty foil and thin card board...wrap the foil around the thin card stock then wrap it around a cake pan of the size you want for a form.

  You can use this idea in any shape pans too.
