Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Is there any tool for adding stitching details - like for a purse cake? I am new to cake decoration and don't know much - so forgive me if this is too obvious a question.

There are two actually. The best one that I use comes from the fabric store. Its a stitching wheel. cost no more then two dollars or less. Then the plastic one that comes with a couple of switch out cutters from Michaels, Joann's Fabric, maybe Walmart as well. Good luck.

Thanks so much Ruby for the response - but what are switch out cutters? I live in India - so i don't have access to the stores you mention. Is there a technical name for it - that i could search for online?

Kamini, I hope the pic came out for you. theres also a kit with all kinds of tools if your making gumpaste flowers. the tool you want is in there as well. Do you have a fabric store to get cloth from. They use the stitching tool to make lines on garmet with the tracing paper so they know where to sew the seams. Hope that helps.
