Take a look at Kim Hamilton's pics. She's got one there.

Are you making the cake in the shape of hello kitty?
I did this one and it was for a girl about that was 5...pretty simple cake. the lines on the 5 and butterflies was glitter gel so it sparkled some. I would make the butterflies and number a different color because they blend into the cake. the customer requested the design for this one

Super cute cake!!! I love it!!

The reason I ask is because I made one for my daughter yrs ago. I mad it out of 2 9in rounds. I cut 2 inches off one of the rounds then cut it in half. Out of the other round I cut a 2in strip and put between the 2 halves to get the oval shape. Out of the rest of the other round I cut out the ears. Then frosted it. If I did it again I would use fondant. Not sure how much cake you need, but I layed hello kitty on a 9x13. Hope this makes sense!
I saw a cute on on Cake Central a while back. They had a Hello Kitty color flow picture in the middle of the top tier. It was really cute.
Wilton put a post on facebook today about that. They didn't give a release date. Can't wait!!

I've heard through the grapevine (from a CS Rep for Wilton) that they will be coming out with a Hello Kitty pan with the new yearbook this summer. I know that won't help you out next month, but just wanted to put it out there. (there are more great new pans as well!)
Use the invitation as a guide and do a cut out of hello kitty. This one is the easiest to do, and the most popular with kids.
hello I have made a cake with the shape of hello kitty cut in fondant.. you can look it at my pictures
or a cupcakes with hello kitty faces..
Does anyone know where I can get a hello kitty mould
I made this one for Easter day but  definitely you can make some changes, just made the head out rice krispies or out of cake like I did. good luck.
