Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Ok ladies I have a lot of baking to get done this week and mind you I am doing it from home and in the middle of moving. My dear friend booked her wedding with me months ago and it just happened that our house sold in the mean time and moving is also this weekend, uggggh. So here is the list of things to do. Any input on where you would start and what day maybe today lol.

1 3 tier wedding cake 6''.8'',10'' only the 6 is real cake

7 9x13 cakes for cutting

60 cake pops

60 peanut butter brownies.

I also have another 9x13 birthday cake for the Sat as well for a seperate order that will require modeling chocolate woodland animals.

I feel like I am stuck as to what to do forst without comprimising freshness and I really don't have extra fridge space.

ummmm, I have nothing to input with the exception of KEEP A SMILE ON YOUR FACE and have FUN!
You have a lot to do and I wish your new home was ready for you to start there. It would make such a wonderful smelling new home and moving would be a lot more pleasant. But then you would have to add another project to share with everyone dedicated to the MOVE! You really do not need another project, LOL.
I agree with Stampinsher! WOW! You really do have your hands full. Well, baby steps! :0) I don't guess there is really a perfect place to start. Do as Nike says and "just do it"! If it were me, I would get all the baking out of the way, so that way I can focus just on decorating the wedding cake. Decorating is what takes the longest, in my opinion. But.... wait! When is the Wedding cake due? and SEVEN 9x13's??? I guess it would help me to better understand if I knew when all the cakes were due.......?
Make a list of everything and prioritize what has to be done and when. Make all your decorations that you possibly can ahead of time. Freeze your cake pops before you dip them and thaw before you dip them. Do the tiers of the wedding cake that are not real cake and put them in a safe place.... I have baked wedding cakes for Saturday as far ahead as Tuesday and as long as you cover them in foil tightly they will stay fresh if they are stored in a cool room. I'd think you could bake all day on Wednesday though and be ok with it all. Good Luck!
Ha and throw in 3 kids one being 2.5 yrs old all at home on summer break, I think I will do all the cake pops tomorrow and I have gotten all the modeling choclate decorations for the birthday cake done. It is all due this Sat!!!! Yes 7 9x13 I don;t have an 11x15, they will be easy just iced white. I know it will all come together I am just freakin out lol. Thanks for the replies
Take a breath and stay relaxed! My triple chocolate cake recipe on my blog on here stays moist forever if you ned a chocolate cake.... I baked one a week ago and put it on a cake board wrapped in foil then covered it in foil and sealed it tight. Left it on the counter for a week and tried it earlier and it is just as moist today as it was a week ago.
Thanks I will keep it mind next time I need chocolate cake. I think I am on a roll and have a good plan now, I got the cake pops done today. Smooth sailing now I hope.
