Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I got an order for a Farm cake for twins who are turning 1.  I have a general idea in mind, but was wondering if anyone had any input on how I could decorate the "smash cakes".  The twins are a boy and a girl.  I usually throw the smash cakes in for free, and it's going to be a busy weekend when it's due, so I don't need anything overly complicated.  Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Maybe make one look like a pig or a cow or something like that. I did cupcakes like that and they were a hit! feel free to look at my pics. I have some farm animal cupcakes and a farm cake I did for my nephew (without the animals). Good Luck!
LOL! That is EXACTLY what I was going to suggest! One a pig, and one a cow! You could do them really simple too!

Oh Rayelle! I love the idea of making two of each animal - as twins! That's brilliant! And I like the idea of making a cow cake and a pig cake for the smash cakes. Thanks!
Silly quesiton - but what is a smash cake??
If I'm not mistaken, I believe the "smash" cake is a smaller version that the child can grab into! It makes a huge mess, but it's the most adorable thing, watching a small child feed themself cake and getting frosting all over the place in the process! :-)

This cake is TOO CUTE! :-)

Meera - Diane is right - it's usually a 6" single layer cake with no filling that they give to the child and they are allowed to just dig in and get it all over themselves. It's a weird American tradition. :)

The customer just emailed me a picture of the party stuff they are using. Too cute! I havelots of ideas now. :) Thanks for everyone's input.
If you go to the Wilton Site and just search Barn. They have one that is a giant cupcake from the 2009 yearbook that the bottom of the cupcake is upside down, then the top is put on top and it is decorated to look like a barn. I did one this weekend and it turned out sooo cute. I am going to see if I can upload the picture.
