Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

QUESTION: This weekend I am doing a 21st cake and it is in squares and I want them to be kinda free floating (cake stackers has a system that would work fabulously, but I am in SA and they are in USA and no way will I get them here on time).  Does anybody have any tips to share on how to make a stand that is suitable to angle the top two tiers and then to have them free floating?  The theme of the 21st is neon so I am going to be covering the cakes with bright neon colours fondant, and then splashing paint (food colour - mixed with tonic water) and some glitter so that when the uv lights are turned on the cake will appear to have three tiers floating on their own.  The top tier size pan in 6inches x 6 inches; the middle tier is 8inches x 8 inches and the bottom tier is 10 inches by 10 inches.  Oh I do hope somebody has a plan for me :-)

I am attaching a picture of a cake from the cake stackers site that shows the idea (they used round cakes).

Hi Mandy, I hope this will give you some ideas:  http://sweeteatscakes.blogspot.com/2011/09/topsy-turvy-stand-tutori...

Oh NERYL YOU BEAUTY!!!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU XOXOXOXOXXOXOXOXO

My hubby helped me make the stand, and the cake turned out to be sturdy and angled and lovely and with some glitter it did some glowing under the neon lights (but not enough - I need advice on how to get cakes to glow in the dark).  Herewith the picture of my cake - thank you again Neryl for your advice, I will never be scared of an angled cake again :-)
